This  house is located in Dunmanus , West Cork, approximately  six miles from the popular fishing village of Schull and the small  rural village of Goleen, on the Mizen penninsula.  This house is a fully equipped  holiday cottage with fully equipped kitchen, living area, bathroom and  sleeping  five  people  ( one double and one double and single bunk ). The conservatory has stunning views over Dunmanus Castle and Bay.It is fully serviced and  ready to use with  all   linen  and towels  provided. Electricity is extra by meter reading. There is an adjoining similiar house which can also be rented for a larger group, also sleeping five persons. Baby travel cot and high chair also available. No pets allowed. There is a garden outside with a patio area and picnic tables. It is a short   distance  from  the beach and there are plenty of  fishing areas, walking routes nearby.   The nearby villages have shops, pub's and restaraunts.Please contact us for  availabality.

Now also available a beautifully restored old cottage on Long Island, which is an island off Schull in West Cork. The island is serviced by a ferry three times daily during July and August. The times are 10am, 2pm and 4pm, with the cost at 7euros return, and journey time is approximatly 10 mins. The pier the ferry leaves from is Colla pier, approx.2 kms from Schull on the coast road to Goleen.

This is a beautiful small island with only five full time inhabitants. It is about 2 kms in length, with 2 piers and a choice of beaches, stony or sandy. These beaches are rarely occupied, sometimes by day visitors to the island. There are spectacular view from the island of Schull harbour, the Fastnet lighthouse, Cape Clear island etc. There are many ideal spots for fishing on the island, with a ready supply of catch from the locals if your luck runs out.
Watersports like sailing and diving are also popular with schools for same in the area.

The house, which is the oldest inhabited house on the island, was subject to a major restoration project in 2008 and 2009. Upstairs, it has 2 bedrooms one a double and the other room has two single beds. There is also a futon sofa bed in the upstairs area which sleeps two more persons.Also upstairs, there is a door leading onto the large balcony overlooking the bay. It has a picnic table for those sunset suppers. Downstairs, there is a bathroom with open power shower, kitchen with cooking and washing facilities, dining area and living area with a solid fuel stove. The house is within walking distance of the main pier. There is a good size garden which is enclosed. The local sops are in Schull which can supply all your needs for your stay. It has quality pubs which serve barfood, many resturaunts, craft shops, playground, banking, all you need without having to travel.
